DALLAS, TX — Tomorrow night, the Seattle Orcas will be taking on the Texas Super Kings at Grand Prairie Stadium with the first ball at 7:30 p.m CT.

The opener marks the start of a new season and a fresh start for the Seattle Orcas, who enter MLC 2026 with a revamped roster and renewed energy. After an active off-season, the Seattle Orcas have added proven international talent across the squad, including Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, New Zealand wicketkeeper-batters Tim Seifert and Tim Robinson, Sri Lankan all-rounder Dasun Shanaka, and South Africans Matthew Breetzke, Ottniel Baartman, and Lutho Sipamla. The franchise also strengthened its domestic group through the MLC Draft with the additions of Shehan Jayasuriya and Sharad Lumba.

Those additions join a group that includes Shimron Hetmyer, Harmeet Singh, Shayan Jahangir, Cameron Gannon, Sujit Nayak, Ali Sheikh, Ayan Desai, Rahul Jariwala and Jasdeep Singh, giving Seattle a squad built on a blend of experience, versatility and depth as the franchise prepares for its fourth season in Major League Cricket.

The season also begins a new chapter under head coach Adam Voges, who takes charge of a team focused on building strong connections, earning trust in key moments and competing together throughout the tournament.

Thursday's match will be the sixth meeting between the two teams, with Texas holding a 3-2 advantage across the previous five contests. Seattle Orcas’ two victories came during the inaugural 2023 season, when the team advanced to the championship match.

For the Seattle Orcas, Thursday's opener presents an immediate opportunity to showcase the progress made during the offseason and begin the campaign on a positive note.

The Seattle Orcas enter the season with confidence, purpose and a commitment to playing together as they look to make an early statement in Dallas.
