Seattle Orcas Announce Coaching and Support Staff for MLC 2026

Seattle Orcas have finalized their coaching and support staff for the 2026 Major League Cricket season, bringing together experience from international cricket, franchise leagues and high-performance programs as preparations continue for the league's fourth season.
Leading the coaching staff is head coach Adam Voges, the former Australia batter who brings leadership and coaching experience from both domestic and international cricket. Voges will oversee the team's cricket operations throughout the season. A veteran of both the Indian Premier League and Caribbean Premier League, he has been part of six Big Bash League title-winning campaigns with the Perth Scorchers, captaining the side to two championships and leading them to three more as head coach.
Speaking about the team's approach for the upcoming season, Voges emphasized the importance of establishing a strong culture.
"A winning culture is something where we have everyone thinking and going about things in the same direction," Voges said. "Being really clear on what we think is important and the expectations and standards that we want to hold ourselves to, and then doing that on a daily basis."
Rishi Bharadwaj returns as assistant coach, bringing experience in player development and high-performance cricket programs. He previously served as assistant batting coach for the United States national team in 2024.
Joining the staff is bowling coach Jason Gillespie, the former Australia fast bowler whose coaching résumé includes County Championship titles with Yorkshire in 2014 and 2015. Gillespie also served as head coach of the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League and has held coaching roles across international and domestic cricket.
The fielding department will be led by Ramakrishnan Sridhar, whose coaching experience includes roles with India's national teams at both the junior and senior levels. He served as assistant coach of India's Under-19 side that won the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and was part of the coaching staff during several successful campaigns with the senior men's team, including the 2018 Asia Cup. Most recently, Sridhar worked with Afghanistan's national team during its ODI series against South Africa and subsequent Test match against New Zealand in 2024.
Warren Andrews will serve as strength and conditioning coach, overseeing player fitness and physical preparation throughout the season. Physiotherapist Tom O'Malley will support player health and recovery, working closely with the squad to manage workloads and maintain player availability.
The support staff also includes team manager Sanjay Stanley and team analyst James Maby, who will assist with logistics, performance analysis and day-to-day team operations throughout the season. Also, Amber Harper will serve as the team's masseuse, providing recovery and wellness support to players. .
Also supporting the team's Season 4 preparations are net bowlers Rayaan Taj, Karan Anand, Aarin Nadkarni, Adnit Jhamb, Krish Katre and Shashwat Kohli.
Former New Zealand batter Ross Taylor will continue in his role as Seattle Orcas ambassador. His responsibilities include community engagement, supporting club initiatives and helping grow the game across the Pacific Northwest.
The coaching and support staff will play a central role in preparing the team for the 2026 Major League Cricket season as Seattle continues building its roster and refining its approach ahead of the campaign.
